Glynis Johns

Glynis Johns (05 de outubro de 1923) é uma atriz, dançarina, cantora e pianista gaulesa nascida na África do Sul. Celebre por sua interpretação no filme musical Mary Poppins de Walt Disney, escrito pelo Irmãos Sherman.

Glynis Johns, nasceu em 5 de outubro de 1923, Pretória, África do Sul, é atriz, dançarina, pianista e cantora e é considerada uma das artistas mais completas. Filha do ator galés Mervyn Johns (1899-1992) e de Alys Steele, uma grande pianista, filha do ator britânico Gareth Forwood.

Fez seu primeiro filme em 1938 em "South Riding", depois apareceu em "Halfway House" (1944), "The Court Jester" (1956), "Mary Poppins" (1964), entre outros. Também trabalhou em teatros e na televisão participou na série Batman interpretando a Lady Penelope Peasoup. Casou-se quatro vezes, inclusive com Anthony Forwood com tem um filho, Gareth. Ela também foi casada com David Foster, que na ocasião era o presidente da Colgate Palmolive Internacional.
